Florent Tech Limited ("Florent Tech", "we", "our", or "us") is an enterprise technology engineering, hardware procurement, software distribution, and civil engineering firm incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
This Privacy Policy applies to all institutional clients, corporate representatives, government entities, and individual visitors who interact with our website, request quotations, procure enterprise equipment, deploy custom software solutions, or engage our consultancy and civil engineering services.
We collect and process personal data in strict compliance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 of Uganda, the National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U) regulations, and guidelines issued by the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO).

- Contact & Institutional Identifiers: Name, professional title, corporate email address, telephone/WhatsApp number, organization name, physical installation address, and URA Tax Identification Number (TIN).
- Procurement & Technical Specifications: Equipment serial numbers, bill of quantities (BOQ), architectural blueprints, data center floor plans, software license entitlements, and service level agreement (SLA) specifications.
- Financial & Fiscal Billing Data: Electronic Fiscal Receipts (URA EFRIS data), electronic banking transfer records, Mobile Money transaction identifiers, and procurement order vouchers.
- Technical & Telemetry Data: IP address, browser type, device telemetry, access times, and diagnostic crash logs collected during remote IT technical support sessions.
4. Legal Grounds & Purposes of Processing
Under Section 7 of the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019, we process data based on the following lawful justifications:
Contract Performance
Executing hardware supply, structured cabling deployments, software custom development, and providing 24/7 technical dispatch.
Statutory Compliance
Mandatory reporting to Uganda Revenue Authority (URA EFRIS fiscal invoices), PPDA procurement frameworks, and NITA-U certifications.
5. Enterprise Hardware & OEM Warranty Registration
When clients procure hardware (such as Dell EMC servers, HP workstations, Lenovo ThinkCentre fleets, or Cisco Catalyst switches) from Florent Tech Limited, equipment serial numbers and designated client contact details are registered with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to bind authentic 1–3 year manufacturer warranties.
This registration is necessary to guarantee genuine hardware servicing, firmware security updates, and authorized spare part dispatch within Uganda.
6. Cybersecurity & Storage Safeguards
We implement comprehensive physical and digital security controls to protect all data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration:
- Encryption in Transit & at Rest: All web submissions and remote communications employ TLS 1.3 encryption.
- Access Governance: Only authorized engineering personnel with signed NDAs access client database schemas or staging hardware.
- Physical Security: Our Kampala staging center is secured with biometric access control, CCTV monitoring, and fire suppression systems.
7. Third-Party Disclosures
Florent Tech Limited does not sell, rent, or trade client data. We only share information with third parties under strict confidentiality agreements for the following purposes:
- Authorized OEM Distributors: Dell Technologies, HP Enterprise, Cisco Systems, Microsoft, and Sophos for official license provisioning and hardware warranties.
- Regulatory Bodies: Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), NITA-U, and law enforcement agencies when legally required by a valid court order.
- Licensed Logistics Providers: Bonded freight and nationwide logistics carriers for hardware delivery to upcountry branches across Uganda.
8. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under Sections 24 to 28 of the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019, you have the legal right to:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of all personal and commercial data we hold about your organization.
- Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
- Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your information, subject to mandatory statutory retention periods under Ugandan tax laws (7-year URA requirement).
- Right to Object: Object to direct marketing communications at any time.
